You can see these pieces in their full glory over here. As you know, I have this fascination with 'the old' (ephemera, not people) and although this is not too old, the inspiration for these pieces started with this book of stamps from 1978. I was just 2 at the time
Take a look at the postage costs (above and below). I'm sure we would all write letters to each other more often if postage was indeed this inexpensive. I wonder if this was expensive in 1978?

Oh I love all your paper art - I wish I could be more "artistic" - I'm so envious when I see other people being creative with layering things up and juxtaposing unlikely things - I only seem good at making ordinary things by following patterns!

I haven't visited you before, lovely blog :) I love all things paper too, I was ahem a little older than 2 in 1978 but remember when stamps were soooo cheap but hey I remember that 7p = 28 mojo sweets too :)

That 1978 postage probably was quite a lot back then as I'm sure you could get a packet of crisps for about 10p! Not that I'd remember, of course, being so very young and everything.....
